What you are about to see is real life CCTV
footage of an attempted theft from a vehicle installed with our
7mil security films.
This was not staged, we were notified by the car dealership of
this attempted theft as a testament of the strength of our
films.
The vehicle in question was an Audi A3 installed with our 7mil
security window films to the glass to prevent theft of the
vehicle or it's contents. The customer had parked the car
outside the car dealership, forgetting that he had left a
satellite navigation system on show in the windscreen. As you
will see, an attempt was made to break the window with a paving
slab which resulted in the slab bouncing off of the window twice
before breaking the car showroom window, setting of the alarms
and notifying the police. Fortunate for the car owner, not so
fortunate for the garage as they had to replace the now broken
window. The Audi was untouched!
A very basic but
effective video of the strength of our 10mil Security window
film to this car door glass.
Before promoting any product, we carry out
our own tests to ensure that we are completely happy with the
results.
This footage was taken as we tested the 10mil Security films we
now promote to provide us with an indication of it's strength.
With most modern cars, impact to a side window from any
implement will trigger the vehicle's alarm system. The average
thief expects to break the window immediately to gain access,
any delay will result in them leaving the area in the fear of
being caught. As you will see, it took 9 hits before the glass
finally broke and generated noise which would draw attention to
the thief from neighbouring properties.
Even after 30 hits the glass could still not be penetrated
proving that security film really works, leaving any contents
within a vehicle intact and glass fragments firmly locked within
the framework.
